Business Headache Diagnosis & Roadmap
Spend a little to avoid spending a lot on the wrong solution.
Most new GrayMatta enagagements begin with a paid Business Headache Diagnosis & Roadmap: a focused review of the problem, the process, the systems and what should happen next.
• $2,000 FIxed Fee • 1 - 2 Weeks • No Obligation to Implement • $1,000 Implementation Credit within 90 days
fixed engagement
$2,000 CAD + applicable taxes
Paid upfront. If you proceed with a GrayMatta implementation within 90 days, $1,000 is credited against the implementation fee.
Paid diagnosis—not an implementation sales pitch
Management discovery and process review
Systems recommendation even if the answer is not Odoo
Indicative implementation path and budget range when appropriate
why it exists
An ERP
demonstration
is not a
diagnosis.
A polished demo can make almost any software look like the cure. The Roadmap starts somewhere else: with how your business actually works, where it breaks and what the business genuinely needs.
The objective is not to prove you need Odoo. The objective is to understand the problem well enough tomake the right decision.
eight deliverables
You will leave with something useful even if you decide against implementation!
Management discovery
A focused session with decision-makers to understand the business, the specific headache and why it matters now.
Current-state review
How the relevant process works today, including manual work, handoffs, spreadsheets and systems.
Process map
A one-page view of the main flow — usually from order to getting paid, from purchase to paying suppliers, or the process causing the most pain.
Systems recommendation
Odoo, or another platform, lighter tools, or process improvement without an ERP.
Migration rating
A green, yellow or red assessment of data migration complexity and the biggest risks.
Phased plan
A practical sequence for preparation, setup, core work, go-live, and support after launch when implementation is justified.
Budget range
An indicative range for implementation, licences, hosting and third-party components.
Go / no-go summary
A plain recommendation: proceed, fix process first, pause, or follow an alternate path.
A demo shows features.
The Roadmap determines whether those features solve your problem.
Software demonstrations are easy to make impressive. They do not reveal weak processes, unclear ownership, poor data, or the workarounds your team relies on every day.
FAQ
The questions we would ask too.
It is the normal starting point for new prospects because it protects both sides from making assumptions too early. Where GrayMatta already knows the people, the business and the problem well enough to scope responsibly, we may move directly into scoped work.
Because this is not a sales call disguised as analysis. The Roadmap produces a real diagnostic deliverable that is useful even if you decide not to proceed with GrayMatta.
Once work begins, the Roadmap fee is non-refundable. Your team is purchasing a diagnosis and recommendation—not reserving implementation capacity.
GrayMatta will say so. The value of the Roadmap is a sound decision, not a predetermined software sale.
Typically CAD $25,000 to $35,000, scoped only after the Roadmap. Payment is normally structured 40% at signing, 30% at UAT, and 30% at go-live.
Bernard leads discovery, the recommendation, and quality review. Clients work with Lara Weinstein, GrayMatta’s Knowledge Expert and consultant, when the project needs operations and project-management depth — so the plan stays tied to how the business actually runs.
- 5–30 people using the core business systems
- Annual revenue between $2 million and $30 million
- An owner, COO, or controller involved in the decision
- Inventory, process, or integration problems affecting daily operations
- A realistic expectation that a permanent fix may require a $20,000+ investment
- A desire to make progress within the next 12 months
Make the expensive decision after the diagnosis.
The Roadmap is designed to buy clarity before you buy software.
