GrayMatta was founded by Bernard Weinstein after more than 40 years leading teams through growth, messy operations, systems change, and hard market shifts.

Bernard’s career spans hospitality, industrial engineering, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, e-commerce, warehousing, CRM, ERP, and supply-chain management.
Across the companies Bernard founded, acquired, grew, and sold, the results were always a team effort.
At Caber SureFit, Bernard and a team of approximately 40 grew a basement operation into an eight-figure North American wholesale business. At its peak, the business shipped roughly 30,000 units per month to customers across North America.
Later, when COVID disrupted HealthyLifeCycle/Yogavni’s core B2B market, the team shifted toward retail, e-commerce, and online marketplaces.
These experiences created a practical understanding of what happens when sales, inventory, purchasing, accounting, and the warehouse each operate from a different version of the truth.
The industries changed. The work did not.

Bernard leads the work and stays accountable. Clients also work with Lara Weinstein, GrayMatta’s Knowledge Expert and consultant for operations and project management. She is Bernard’s daughter, and she is on the team because of her operating record, not her last name.

At Caber SureFit and SureFit Home Décor she rose from Operations Administrator to Director of Operations — inventory, demand and supply planning, customer service, vendors, budgets, cash, and leading people across departments.
That experience is useful on your project because she can see where the work actually breaks, what the numbers should be telling you, and what has to be true so the team can run the business after the project, not only during it. She has helped implement ERP (including Sage to NetSuite), project-managed a major global ERP implementation, and run the operations side of a facility move from the United States to Canada.
On a GrayMatta engagement, Lara’s job is to make the work usable: a clear picture of the current process, a plan people can follow, honest gaps, and delivery that stays tied to how your business really operates.
